    Hi there

I have tried everything but cannot connect the Channel or Playlist to the website.

    Let me explain:
Error – Same as some other rposts:
Sorry, that does not seem to be a link to an existing video. Please confirm that the link works in your browser, and that the owner of the video allowed embed sharing permissions (otherwise, contact the owner of the video to allow embedding). Then copy that full link in your address bar to paste here. If you are sure your link is correct, then (1) your API key may be too restrictive (check here) or (2) you have reached your Google quota (check here). You can apply to Google for a quota increase here.

    Checked
    1. I have checked everything related to the error and none of that applies. I can also see that the API connects to Google as it shows that there have been 6 connections and 100% errors but does not show the errors. As always Google is not very helpful.

    2. I have deleted and recreate the API and project but no change.

    3. Then after a couple of tries I noticed that when the Youtube API is created there’s one main omission. In your step by step guide, which is straight forward, there is in step 8 the option that you need to select “webserver (eg nodes.js,Tomcat” That does not exist now when I create the API so not sure if Google changed something or something is wrong with the account. Everything else is there including http referrer , ip address etc but you cannot select select “webserver (eg nodes.js,Tomcat”

As I have tried everything else my conclusion is that the missing option may be the issue. have you ever seen that before and if yes do you know how to resolve it?

    Any ideas will be great.

    Thanks

    Hi there

I found out what was happening and the solution. As such I thought to post the solution here in case it helps someone else.

The website in this case had the DNS managed externally and separate from the server where it was hosted. That create the problem that the network and the DNS was separate and Google was not recognising the HTTP referrer option neither the IP address

The solution was simple in that I gave Google the IP address of the website as well as the IP address of the network (ask your host if you are not sure what that maybe). Once I have added both IP addresses everything worked straight away.

Anyway I hope that someone may find that information useful.

Thank you for the excellent plugin ??

    Regards
    Tassos
