Youtube and Vimeo Cookies not picked up in scan

Also, I have noticed the videos appear blank/black when complianz is enabled (so you can’t see or play them). They show just fine when complianz is disabled. Any ideas?

Hi @sdesign-1,

You can enable the Youtube and Vimeo services under Wizard > Cookies > Integrations > “Select the types of third-party services you use on your site”.

This will enable the placeholders (you can verify this under Complianz > Integrations > Services), and will list the Cookies that belong to these services on your Cookie Policy after the next CookieDatabase sync.

I did a sync again and now the cookies have appeared. Now when a visitor hasn’t accepted marketing cookies the “click to accept marketing cookies to enable this content” appears. However, when marketing cookies are accepted the video just appears blank/black. I have this problem with both Vimeo and YouTube videos. Do you have any advice?

Could you provide the name of the page where I can find these video elements? That will allow me to have a closer look at the behavior.

This seems to work fine for me after giving consent, however the YouTube video is “not available in my country” (https://ibb.co/M1jfQVy) so perhaps that could be related? Vimeo seems to work as well: https://ibb.co/Dr61gPX

Thats strange, neither show for me on my Mac (in both safari and chrome), but I just tested on my iPhone and they work fine. Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

I just tested the site on my work laptop which is Windows 10 and I am still getting the black videos.

I assume it might have been related to the first YouTube video not being available in certain countries. The behavior seemed to remain the exact same with/without Complianz activated when testing on my end (multiple browsers).

I’ll mark this as resolved as it seems to be unrelated to Complianz (and the video’s aren’t present anymore), just let us know if the problem seems to persist and you would need us to have a closer look.
