    I receive the following notification in the Yoast dashboard:

    You’re using WordPress in a language we don’t support yet. We’d love for Yoast SEO to be translated in that language too, but unfortunately, it isn’t right now. You can change that! Register at Translating WordPress to help translate it!

    My blog is in English. It’s been there through several versions of Yoast. Admittedly, it’s just a minor annoyance, but anyone got an idea how to fix this?

  • I have the same error. Would love an answer too.

    Hello,

    Can you please try switching from English(United States) to any other English locale (like Australia), saving, and then changing back to your chosen English locale?
    You can do this in Settings -> General -> Site Language.

    This should correct the issue if you have an outdated site language file that may cause this issue.

    @marcanor: That appears to have corrected the problem.

    @marcanor
    Thank you for the suggestion. However when I pick another language, I get the following revised message:

    You’re using WordPress in English (Canada). While Yoast SEO has been translated to English (Canada) for 100%, it’s not been shipped with the plugin yet. You can help! Register at Translating WordPress to help complete the translation to English (Canada)!

    I’m not sure that has gotten me any further ahead.
    Please advise.

    Super easy for the workaround. This is a bug that I believe Yoast has not fixed for years, at least since 2016. However, Yoast SEO has a bug that cannot see that the General Settings are set to ENGLISH when ever a new update of Yoast comes out. So all you have to do is RE-SAVE the General Settings page in WordPress for every new update. And then, the “Translate” message and the error goes away.

    btw, I found the fix on a forum from 2016 – and still saw the error on a new website today in 2018. So, Yoast has not addressed the problem. Thankfully, resaving the language setting after an update only takes a second!

    I wrote a post on it here: https://www.facebook.com/bevthegeek/posts/10155876833308371

    it still doesn’t work I have changed the settings to different languages but once you change it back the English the problem remains. Yoast looks like getting replaced. its not the only problem I’ve had with this bloated software.
