I am wanting to generate a certificate for both www and non-www versions of my site, but when checking the box to generate, I receive the following message: “Your www domain is not reachable, so this option cannot be enabled.”

My domain works with and without www, so I’m a bit perplexed as to what to do.

    Help!

By the way, my DNS “A” record and “CNAME” record are setup. As mentioned in my previous post, you can get to my domain with and without www.

Your non-www domain redirects to www domain. So you only need SSL installed for your www domain which you have already completed ??

    Hi,

@webdevshyam this is not exactly the case for me. Indeed, my .htaccess does redirect to https://www.domain.com version immediately (tompost rule in file) but when I access website via https://domain.com the dafault server certificate is being supplied before the redirect can take place, which results in ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID.

@gowebsmarty is there any way to override detection and force creation for both www and non-www versions?
