    Hi @bluppi,

Can you give us more information about the problem? Are you unable to reclaim the URL, and if so, are you receiving a particular error?

No I am not receiving any other error messages, my site is associated with Google adds and it is also claimed in Google Merchant.

    Hello
and thank you again for your help tijosh a11n
when I do the Set up your accounts configuration, the wordpress.com connection OK, the connection to Google accounts OK, Google Merchant account not possible, I can select my Merchant account, when I connect, I receive the following message
Your URL,, is currently claimed by another Merchant Center account.
Warning: If you reclaim this URL, it will cause any existing product listings or ads to stop running, and any existing shipping or tax configurations will be lost. The other verified account will be notified that they have lost their claim.
I check the box Yes, I understand the implications of reclaiming my URL. and I try to connect, at the bottom of the screen the following error message appears unable to reclaim your URL please try again later.
i don’t know where the problem is coming from so i’m new to it so i don’t know how to see if there is an error log

    Hi again,

That sounds like that at some point your URL must have gotten claimed already. Based on the Google documentation: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/176793?hl=en there are 4 ways to do so: https://d.pr/i/Gh2B02

If it was claimed using a HTML file, then the file should be residing in your website’s root folder.

Other than that I would check every tag manager and google analytics account you have access to.

    Kind regards,

I am having the same issue, tried deleting the old google merchant account but its still having this issue. Now it made 5 merchant accounts and i cant delete 1. Reclaiming the url does not work please fix this api call.

    Hi there!

For further troubleshooting, can you please get back to us directly at [email protected] so that we can grab as many details about the issue and forward it over to the developers?

Along with that, please also include the following details:

    1. A link to this ticket
    2. Your System Status Report: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I’m asking because I see there was a PR created specifically to Overwrite Merchant Center Account Website URL, but for some reason it is not working here.

I’ll mark this topic as solved so that we can continue troubleshooting via email/

If you haven’t opened a ticket yet, when you do can you please send through any Google Listings and Ads logs that might have been generated – hopefully it will help us to better understand what’s happening,

    To find the generated logs:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs
    2. In the top right corner, open the drop-down and select the Google Listings and Ads log that you need, then click view to load it. Here’s what that looks like: https://d.pr/i/tCljQd
    3. Copy/paste the relevant part of the log into your response so we can take a look.

    Thank you!

For future reference, for anyone else coming across this thread. The error message

Your URL, , is currently claimed by another Merchant Center account

is being incorrectly reported for the wrong scenario.
We are working to resolve this.

One such scenario is a case where the authentication scopes have not been granted. The best way to resolve that is to follow these steps:

    1. Revoke the previous access permissions to your Google account so you can reconnect. Open the Security tab for your Google account: https://myaccount.google.com/security
Click on the link “Manage third party access” and then remove access for the WooCommerce app.
    2. Go to Dashboard > Marketing > Google Listings & Ads and reconnect your Google account, making sure to grant all requested scopes by checking the boxes.

    3. Reconnect your Merchant Account
