• I just downloaded and upgraded to your latest version – and it broke some pages and a plugin.

Your latest version will not render my page
properly, as it seems to have stopped my plugin called “Smart Slider 3” from working. I use the GeneratePress theme.

Can you please figure this one out. I will leave my broken site up for 24 hours, and then I will have to roll back to a working version.

Please let me have feedback asap.

    Hi @jodani

I’m from Nextend, the team behind Smart Slider 3. While I can’t see JavaScript errors on your page, I can’t see our files either. From our end what I can suggest is to enable the Async loading at the Nextend settings: https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/457-nextend-settings-general-settings
Usually that solves problems caused by caching plugins.

Also, please be sure to clear WP Speed of Light’s cache after turning on the Async ??

    Hi,

    I’m sorry about that.

Would you be able to enable debug temporarily and paste the error you should then see on your page in this thread?
More info on enabling debugging on your website if you need Enable debug

    Best regards,

    Hi @jodani

I can’t really see any changes in your page source, so it seems as if the changes you’ve made weren’t applied yet.

Also you could try to disable the js and html minification in our plugin options (speed optimization sub menu) and see if there is any change.

    Best regards

    Hello guys,

I have had a similar problem after the final update. Slider Revo’s slide on my home page dissappeared with all the product images on the woocommerce products. As soon as I disabled the “Group JS” option everything turned back to normal. Since we can not use this option anymore our page speed and score drops a lot. If you can find a solution that would be great.

Thanks a lot for time and afforts.

Slider Revolution works only after deactivating “Group JS”

    Can you help me?

    Hi,

After analysing the problem we found that if there is inline javascript in the the page source, then grouping them may cause wrong JS ordering and return errors.

We don’t have any solution to make that work except to disable this feature in this case, it depends of the plugin used and the order they’re loaded (not necessary this one). You can try another plugin with the “Group” feature but I think the problem will be the same.

We have planned to add an advanced feature to exclude some scripts but I’m not sure it would handle inline scripts. Finally the good news is that this optimisation, despite of some web speed test are saying, have a small impact on performance because of HTTP2 implementation.

I keep you posted here if we found something to handle that (we’re still working on it).

    Cheers,

    Hi

could I solve this probelm by using your pro add-on exclusion?

    Thanks
