    Updated both theme and WP to most current versions, received email about technical issue. Error Details
    =============
    An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 165 of the file /home/newearth/jalouvel.com/wp-content/themes/astra/functions.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected end of file

    I am not great with PHP but it looks like it is missing the closing php remark?

    ?I visited your site and it worked. The login page (/wp-admin) also worked. It was probably just a temporary issue and fixed by itself.

    Hi there, I was always able to get into the admin panel, I just received that email saying there was a problem. I did notice though that when I went to add my Google Analytics code into the functions.php and tried to save I received an error which referenced line 165 as well. I ended up putting the GA code into the header.php instead, with no problems. Thanks!

    When you said that you put the GA code into the header.php, did you mean you put it directly to the header.php file of the Astra theme? ??It is not recommended to put any custom code directly to the theme’s files as it will get wiped off when you update the theme. Please use a child-theme instead.

    Sorry for the late reply, marked resolved.
    I have been meaning to setup a child theme; can you recommend a good how-to resource?
