Hi,

In the last 2 weeks I’ve been experiencing random but frequent slow downs with my site for no reason (both frontend and backend). Contacted my hosting company and they could not see anything wrong. Yesterday I received an email from WordPress saying that there’s a “technical issue” with my site specifically caused by the plugin: Woocommerce Paypal Payments.
however today I logged in and could not see anything wrong. everything looks normal and no error msgs from anywhere in the dashboard or plugin page, either. So chances are if you’re seeing this thread and visiting my site you won’t see anything wrong with it.

Below are some relevant info from the email I received for troubleshooting. Just curious if anyone else using the same plugin had received an email like this and if there’s any solution to this. I’m still debating if I should uninstall this and switch to another Paypal plugin instead. Would appreciate any help. thank you.

Hello

This error seems to be a potential cache problem during the plugin update.

I suggest checking the “Connection” page to confirm that the your PayPal account is connected correctly and the merchant ID and other fields are populated.

You can also try disconnecting and then reconnect using the automatic onboarding process.

Nothing appears wrong on the Plugin page or Connection page. Status shows “connected” and all the fields below that (merchant ID, client ID, secret key etc) are all the same and untouched.

Just to be sure, are you suggesting that I use the “disconnect account” and then set everything up again? If possible, I really would prefer not having to do that as I remember it took a while for me to set this up the first time, having to locate those IDs from Paypal. I don’t exactly remember how to do this anymore and I’m afraid of messing things up.

Since the email from WordPress I am still getting payments successfully for new orders, so looks like connection is OK?

Another thing is I’m using Query Monitor on my site and when I’m on the Paypal setting page, it turned RED with 4 hits of HTTP API calls error, screenshot here – https://ibb.co/rFgxbRn

Is there any way we can resolve this and is this possibly also the reason why I’ve been experiencing slowness on my site, both front end and back?
