"your session has timed out, please log in again"

This occurs intermittently after the user has been transmitted to PayPal and enters their billing info. On the surface it would seem to be an issue on PayPal’s end, but it can apparently be caused by errant “Buy” button code on the website end.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks much!
