Your role does not have the ability to Post Tweets from this site.

You should be able to reset them by re-saving your permissions, which are found in the advanced settings of the plug-in, near the bottom.

I am getting the same error:

Your role does not have the ability to Post Tweets from this site.

But I dont see the option to resave permissions anywhere in the settings or advanced setting in the wp to twitter.

The permissions options are under the ‘Individual Authors’ heading, where you can set what roles have permission to perform various functions.

Joe – need some help please! Like the first posted here, I deleted the custom permissions that wp-to-twitter adds upon first install. I deleted the permissions with USer Role Editor accidentally. I need to add them back because I am getting the same “Your role does not have the ability to Post Tweets from this site” error message right now.

So far, I’ve added “wpt_twitter_custom” and “wpt_twitter_oauth” permissions to the Admin role. I’ve also tried resaving the permissions in the advanced settings of the wp-to-twitter plugin. No luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Got it fixed. it was a matter of adding wpt_can_tweet i think but i also added wpt_twitter_switch

Glad you found the right permission. I didn’t get home until very late last night…
