• Your plugin used to work like a charm, but when I am about to import the copy that was recently backed up, it doesn’t migrate all the content such as the CSS, pages links are broken and other theme colors. Now, the site that I want to migrate was located in a subdomain to be restored in a regular domaiin. Does that matter?

    Hi @edusa2000

Thank you very much for the review! ??

Regarding your question, it may be related to damaged database data.
But in most of the cases (almost 100% I’d say) it’s a cache issue.

If you’re using some cache plugin or something similar it’s good to turn it off before the migration this way you may be sure it won’t affect the CSS.

Also if you were using CDN before, it may be the main cause of the issue as we can’t backup CDN files (as they’re located on different server).

For the cache plugin case the solution is simply clear the cache and regenerate files using that plugin.

    Hope that helps.

Ok. I disabled my cache plugin. I started the backup process to be restored on my new domain. I had the same scenario, but this time I copied the CSS code from the theme CSS options and also all the links worked, but unfortunately there are a lot of items I still have to configure and change the background color. This should be pretty much straight forward. Thank you for your help.

You know. I ended copying manually some CSS classes since there was no solution ot this problem. Anyhow. Now, I tried to do a clone from another server and when we lauch the URL zip file to copy to another domain, I get this error.

    Server Error
    500
    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Hi @edusa2000

Could you please clarify few things for me:
Where you get the Error 500, on source site, destination site after restore or only on the download URL of the backup?

This error means that something wen’t wrong on PHP side (mostly). So I can assume it was after restoration. That could be caused by non-writable wp-config.php file or by plugin that does not support older/newer PHP version.

Or if you’re using some security plugin that may be also caused by their security rules. E.g. missing file.

I’d like to ask you for the backup logs (you can download them from the source site at backups list).

If it’s possible for you, please try to contact me via live-chat on https://backupbliss.com I’ll try to help you debug it in real-time.

Also for the future, please if you’re having any issue open new topic on the right forum as this is reviews section, sometimes we may not get proper notification in order to quick reply here.

    Thank you! ??
