Hi — I’m very confused about your plugin.

I’ve been using it for a long time on several websites with success.

Today I updated Plugins and immediately got notifications that New Pages had been created on my websites via the following message:

    ————————–
    Event: Post Update
    Website: https://(my-website-name).com
    IP Address: 77.88.xx.xx
    Reverse IP: 77-88-xx-xx.spider.yandex.com
    Date/Time: August x, 2018 3:48 pm

Message: Page was created; ID: 416; name: Login Customizer
    ————————–
Please note the Reverse IP address was different for each site.
    ————————–

As far as I know this has never happened before, and today it happened to six websites.

Can you please explain why you are modifying my website?

    Hey there,

Yes, the plugin made this new page on your side and let me explain why.

Before version 2.0, Login Customizer used to open your wp-login.php page in Customizer to preview your customizations live. wp-login.php file isn’t supposed to open when you’re logged in, but WordPress has that as a bug, so the plugin used that bug to add amazing features. Every time you made any changes customizer would update the login page, and some Security Plugins thought someone was trying to hack you (that’s why refreshing every other minute).

We had to counter this bug, so in 2.0 our plugin created a new page on your site, calls it Login Customizer. This page will only be visible to Admins and only when viewed from Customizer. We use it as a “dummy” login page to preview your customizations in Customizer.

If you log out and from your site and try to visit that link, it will redirect you back to your homepage.

We don’t use that page for doing anything on your website, and it will have no ads or anything. It’s just an empty page that is used only when you Customize your login page.

Using wp-login.php page was the biggest issue with the theme that had stopped its development which we could only fix by giving it a page of its own. You can see what else was fixed in the revamp here: https://github.com/HardeepAsrani/login-customizer/issues/35

Let me know if you still have any questions or anything in my long reply confused you. ??
