    Hello,

I ran your plugin on my website and it broke my site. I went from a 3.4s speed index to a 20.0s speed index.

Also, when I checked the site using the inspection tool in the browser, none of the image files were WebP, they were all still jpg.

How do I undo whatever your plugin did to my website? I want to wipe it all clean and restore it back to the way it was before I ran your plugin.

    Thank you.

    Hi @paulgyuro,

    Thank you for your message.

My plugin does not make any changes to your website to affect your site in this way. All it does is clear the cache, so the first performance test may be worse because the cache needs to be refreshed.

Please tell me what exactly you did and what you did before. I see that all images have the suffix “-OPTMZD.jpg” in the file name. What other plugins did you use to optimize your images? Accurate information from you will allow me to help you better.

Also note that my plugin does not change image URLs. Below I have attached a tutorial describing how to test the plugin:

    Thank you for your reply.

“OPTMZD” is just what I named a few certain files after I compressed them manualy myself in Photoshop prior to uploading them to my website. I manually added “OPTMZD” to the file name myself.

That said, I did run the reSmush.it plug in on my images a couple months ago.

I tested the plugin per your instructions and all of the images on the homepage still show as jpg. I just re-ran the speed test again and it’s still bad. 21.2s.

How do I delete the files your plugin added to my website?

    Thank you

As far as what I did using your plugin, I used the free version to do a bulk optimization choosing WebP and choosing cache, plugins, themes, uploads.

Results were 69% images converted to WebP with 1,559 errors or images skipped

@paulgyuro Just deactivate the plugin. Then it doesn’t work and has no effect on the website.

Does the problem go away then?
