When I check up on my site health it is telling me to update PHP, telling me there is something wrong. But when I check the Dashboard updates it says PHP and WordPress are up to date. What does “Your PHP Version Requires An Update” mean and how can I resolve this?

    Hiya,

PHP can’t be updated from WordPress it self, this is either something your webhost needs to change, or an option in your hosts control panel.

What version of PHP are you currently using? I know that you will get this warning if you are using PHP 5.6 or older, and it’s recommended to use PHP 7.1 or higher (7.3 being the most recent version at this time). If you don’t know what version you are on, visiting the Info tab will ahve those details in the Server section.
