• Hello there: I’ve tried to contact with you in the first topic I wrote here “Error in database connection” but It’s possible that it’s needed a new topic for a new question. I apologize with everyone and please accept my excuses…Ok then…My new question is why I can’t access to my dashboard because it appears this message:

“Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress”.

I ran wamp server to ensure MySQL extension was there and running and I don’t know what todo. We’re claiming for help. I searched in the forum some related topic to this issue but I couldn’t find it. Please Help…

    Thanx and greetings from Spain.

  • Upload phpinfo page <?php phpinfo(); ?> and check whether MySQL extension is loaded or not. If you can’t see MySQL in phpinfo page, probably something is missing.

Hello again: Still looking for an answer to my request. I’m really lost and I don’t know what to do except reinstalling, and I remember my problems with installation. I never thought that wordpress could be so hard to run…I’m starting to think, this is a product for very experienced people in scripting, IT, or whatever…but not for simply “users”…Please!! We’re claiming for an answer!!! Thanks to all the people who make this forum possible. We love you. Please don’t forget us! We are like donkeys, and we know it, but we’d love to use wordpress, full throtle!!! Thanx again. Kisses from spain.

    Thanx for your attention Accuwebhosting.

It sounds like an issue with your hosting…..which you should probably ask them. This is just the wordpress help forum….. where a bunch of wordpress users try to answer the questions we can….. but if your host has a specific problem, we have no way of knowing or helping…..

Hi: I don’t think so RVoodoo, ’cause I installed WP locally. I followed all the steps, and the first day it worked, but when I tried to enter at my dashboard it didn’t work anymore and then I tried to enter by localhost in my wamp server, ok? and I tried to run myphpadmin and the message was that i couldn’t access because some problems with MySQL…Then I tried to access through wampserver and when I click on my website project folder, then appears this message wich is the title of this topic, ok?…The main problem is that WP doesn’t find MySQL.php but it’s already there and working….I asked some IT friends and they told me to reinstall wampserver, but i’m afraid, because the installation process became very complicated (in spanish version) and thanx to samboll (moderator in this forum) who lent me a new script for wp-config file, i could run WP for first time (in english, of course) but i couldn’t run it twice…That’s because I think, this program must be for another kind of user, more experienced, but I saw the results in another web that works in WP and I fell in love…I still want to work with WP…Thanx for your attention and consideration, everybody. Thanx to Mr.RVoodoo too.

    Love.

this program must be for another kind of user,

Well, wordpress itself is very simple to use. It’s just some kind of combination of WP and your hosting situation……

WordPress should be very easy to set up….. you’ve got to figure out what is going on with your hosting environment…. wish I could be more help, but I’ve never messed with WAMP

I’m going to reinstall everything from the start and see what happens…Thanks for your help and to all of you…I can only say that if I can install it again and make it run, I’ll try to be helpful in the forum. Thank you again, everybody…Love and peace. Greetings from Spain.
