Please note that iDEAL is a single-use payment method that requires customers to authenticate each payment. This error suggests that recurring payments are enabled, which iDEAL doesn’t support.

I see your product is named Gluten-Free Subscription, which indicates that it’s set up as a subscription product. A subscription product charges customers on a recurring basis rather than a one-time charge.

For testing purposes, could you please create a simple product and try using the iDEAL payment method for that product?

On the products. There is already a single use product (with the name 1 Time Box which is for €40.99). Also, though the other product says ‘Subscription Box’ there is no subscription that we have set-up so far, neither in WooCommerce nor in Stripe.

As am FYI we tried activating WooCommerce Payments – and here iDeal does work. Also in Test Mode iDeal works and the payment goes through. This would suggest the issue is not with the product / store set-up. Happy to be corrected or if something specific that needs to be changed, if it means iDeal will work with the Stripe plug-in.

This is quite low and might affect your ability to upload updates or extensions. A size of 64 MB or more is generally recommended, though this can vary based on your needs. Your hosting provider can help adjust this if needed.

Given the details you’ve shared, it seems like the live environment for iDeal payments is the only area experiencing trouble, which suggests the Stripe API keys are set up correctly since it works in a test environment.

Given this information, I recommend the following steps:
