your payment could not be processed. reason: invalid order state

  • We have recently noticed an error from talking to some of our customers. When they put through a payment, it transfers them to 3DSecure but when it comes back to our site it has the error ‘your payment could not be processed. reason: invalid order state’.
    On our admin end, and with our bank, the payment has gone through and is processing.

    Is this an error that you are aware of?
    Is there a way to fix this?
