“Your message has been sent” not popping up, just empty box

  • The Messages listed in the Messages tab do not show up after a message has been sent. These are the messages that automatically appear to the sender, such as “Your message has been sent.”

    The color-outlined rectangle does pop up, but there is no visible text inside it, rendering the whole contact form unusable.

    There is text inside the box that you can see if you highlight the empty space.

    This was working before, but now just the empty box appears. I have made a lot of changes since then.

    None of the text shows automatically in Contract Form 7 now, but I have been able to produce the “Your name” and other headings with html. Except the automatic messages that are supposed to appear inside the popup box.

    I tried to color the text with html in the Contact Form Messages tab, but Contact Form 7 will not accept html there.

    I have also checked the typography settings, but have not found an answer there.

    The theme is Twenty Ten.

    Is there a way to do this when the page is under construction and “private”?

    I wonder if this helps. I “inspected” the blank response box and found this line of code:

    <div class=”wpcf7-response-output” aria-hidden=”true”>Your message has been sent</div>

    Also, when I enter the shortcut into the body of a new page (not a widget area), the response does appear in the box. When I “inspect” the box the same code appears:

    Here is another clue.

    The response box will show colored text decoration for the heading assigned to the Contact Form when short-coded into the widget, but the response itself still is hidden.

    When I go to default Typography and customize heading 4 (text style color green and font decoration underline) then code the widget area this way:
    <h4>[contact-form-7 id=”3368″ title=”Contact Form”]</h4>

    the color and decoration appear in the pop-up response box, but not the text itself. It is still hidden, but the colored decoration appears.`

    If you go at the bottom of the page and click on “demander un devis gratuit” without filling any required field, only an emply box appeared and no required fields are highlighthed.

    But sometimes it works. I left the tab opened for a few hours yesterday and when I’ve tried again on the evening all worked perfectly.
