    Hi Everyone,

When someone is trying to subscribe to my form it’s giving following error.

    “Your merge fields were invalid.
Error with field: Please enter a value.”

The form has only ’email’ field and ‘subscribe’ button.

I checked the MailChimp field but everything is looking fine to me. I removed the field from yikes easy forms, cleared the cache, then again inserted the email field. Then also this error is not resolved.

Please help me resolving this error.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi @nusatyam,

Do you have any other fields on the form that you are not using? If so are any of those fields marked as required?

    Thank you,
    -Tracy

    Hi Tracy,

    Thanks for replying.
Yes, there are few fields which I am not using.
phone, name, first name, last name, company, email

Out of these email and name is required fields and name I am not using in the form.

    Thanks

    Hi @nusatyam,

Can you please make name not required, clear the api cache and try the form again. This is probably why you’re getting that error, it’s expecting name because it’s required.

    Thank you,
    -Tracy

    Hi Tracy,

    Thanks for replying.
We need the name field required though for other forms.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Is there any chance you can add the name to this form? I know it’s not ideal, but it is one way around the issue. You could also take the requirement off on the MailChimp end and let our plugin control required fields.

Let me know if either of these work for you.

    Thank you,
    -Tracy

Hi! I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried these solutions and no luck. The only required field is email which is part of this particular form. I have included a hidden field to track page source but it is not marked required. I thought this could have been the issue but it was still a problem when I removed the field from the form.

Any other thoughts what it might be?

    Thanks!

    Hi @kayl3y,

You can send us a URL to your form’s page so we can check it out?

    Thank you!
    Kevin.

    Hi @kayl3y,

I see you opened your own ticket – that’s good; we’ll deal with this issue in that ticket.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

    Just had the same issue.

Solution: Cleared all form fields, added them in again, and it seems to be working.

Will advise if we have any issues.

    Thank you Yikes!

Hello, @yikesitskevin ! I continue having the same problem, even with the hidden field not being mandatory. I have 2 forms leading to the same list, but each of them to another group inside the list. Can you please take a look on them here? Thanks! https://blog.coherra.com/test-forms/
