So I was checking through my website and came across the “Your homepage cannot be indexed by search engines.” message on the Yoast Dashboard. Looked into it and the site passes the Google mobile test and I have disabled the “OnPage.org indexability check”.
However, after performing these steps, the message still shows up. The homepage does appear in the SERP and so I’m not overly worried but thought it would be worth mentioning here.

    Any ideas?

  • I have the same message, and I tried most of the suggestions I red on this forum. Nothing seems to work. My warning is still on, yet I do get a low score on Google Mobile compatibility test.
I also disabled the OnPage.org checking and the sign is still there. I wonder if it is possible, that OnPage.org allows only one scanning per month (as a free service) so unless I want to pay a monthly fee, that waring will stay in effect no matter what I do?
    Can somebody help me please?

I too came across this issue after updating Yoast SEO plugin on my website. I did some checks and validation and the status of my website’s SEO is still good. Can this message be a mistake on the plugin’s behalf?
