The site looks really stunning but for a vegetarian lifestyle site i found it a little too fancy to be honest and also that I did not that the menu is there till I hovered on the vertical bar on the left.

Moreover, the reviews menu points to an empty directory. You should probably consider putting an empty index.htm in that directory, with the security point of view.

My hosting was down. It does that about once a month. Should be back up and running now.

I kind of fixed that. I added “Menu” text to the little bar. It’s not exactly in a good place though, so I will need to adjust it when I have more time.
Also, thank’s for noting that about the reviews directory. Need to fix that as well.

Agree that it is good-looking in a way — but it took me a while to even figure out how to get the menu open. Also, black background is NEVER a good idea for text — it’s always harder to read.

An “About” page generally means information about YOU or the organization behind the site — not about what vegan or vegetarian means. As is,there is nothing anywhere about who you are, what your reason for being is or where your information comes from or whatever. This kind of information can give the site credibility and also usually makes a site more personal and appealing to readers — an important aspect if you want people to return.

I get internal server error

It is a good theme that you are using, I do not see any reason to change it. All you need to do is follow selfless advices from good people here.

You may need to work a bit on making your site more relative to your niche. There are few more suggestions from my side.

1. You can replace the text “HOME” with your website’s name “LETTUCE-EAT”
2. If possible you can bring your vertical bar to the bottom, making it a horizontal footer bar and then place the menu there. It will maintain the overall layout and enhance navigation.
3. You can change the background to green vegetables, probably a shot of lettuce.
