    Hello,

I do not want to have my sender e-mail address to be one specified text, I want to have an address that my client inputs so the tag is [your-email]

    But it does not work.

In my form, people inpu *their* e-mails so I can store them in my database. I want to have this each inputed by my client address to be in “From:” field.

I inputed [your-email] in From: field as in screenshot adn it does not work. Is there other tag to show also inputed e-mail as “sender text” ?

    So I have something like:
    [email protected][email protected]

    NOT “WordPress” [email protected]

I have read the FAQ and there is no answer in it for my question. Did you check my screenshot ?

I have configured it like in the screen and i still does not show pure e-mail in “From:” field.

Are you able to help ?

i configured at the moment my form like in your FAQ but this only gives me a specified name, not my users e-mail.

Reply-to works fine, but I want to have a visible e-mai laddress of the form user.

Your screenshot indicates that may not have understood the FAQ the plugin author suggested.

In your Mail?? section is currently:

    From:
    [your??-email]

    Change this to:

    From:
    ???Whatever text your want <[your-email]>

But I do not want the text – I just want only client’s e-mail since everytime it will be different so why I should you a same, specified text for it ?

If you use just From: [your-email] then WordPress (nothing to do the CF7 plugin) will add “WordPress” as the name in front of the entered email address.

The only way to stop this is for you to add some text which will be used as the name as explained in the FAQ.??

I am having the same problem — Have been using contact 7 more a long time. The problem just started 3 days ago. Unable to fix.
