Your DNS records have changed

  • I have just been rebuilding a WP site and installed Wordfence from the off.

    I have run Wordfence scan several times during the build.
    After the final build, contents addition to the site I ran it again.

    Last night I received an email stating Your DNS records have changed.

    The only thing I know I changed and it was one of the last things I did yesterday, was do specify the static home page in WP Dashboard.

    Could this be the reason for receiving this message ?

  • Hi,

    If you did not change your DNS, then I’d say it is a false positive. If you get more notifications, then you may consider confirming your DNS settings. If the results are false, you can disable the feature under Options. “Scans to include” and uncheck “Scan for unauthorized DNS changes.”
