If it worked before, it sometimes helps to go to your settings->permalinks and click on save/update to refresh everything.

Hi Roy, thanks for the help, I’ve just tried your suggestion but it didn’t work for me unfortunately.

Strangely enough I’ve managed to import most of the wp site including all the same plugins and themes to a local installation and the problem doesn’t exist there so presuming it’s something to do with the database? The site owner tried to upgrade the Woocommerce data but only has Shop Manager (he’s non techie) privileges and it looks like that is where the problem stems from.

@ladyfyre – Yes so my suggestion was assumed that you had already ran the data update for latest version.

@roy Ho the owner had run the data upgrade but then received the error message but the button had gone, so I entered the update link manually but just received the Welcome to Woo screen and no options to update the data so I presume it had become corrupted.

I have fixed it though by renaming the Woocommerce plugin folder woocommerce_bak and ftping an older version from a June backup in it’s place. Then I updated Woocommerce and it then allowed me to update the data, all working now and without the few days worth of data that would have happened if I had done my next course of action and replaced the installation with a back up! (just explaining incase any one else has this problem in the future)

    Fixed in WooCommerce 2.2.3.
