    It’s not as easy as it sounds in the previous threads. I’ve tried everything suggested, even uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. The error message will not go away and of course I can edit the admin notices in the wp-dbmanager.php file but what if I’m wrong and left vulnerable? Never had this problem before but just migrated to a new server. Deactivating for now at least…

    Did you get a chance to take a look at this in the FAQ? Why do I get the message “Warning: Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public!”?

    It would appear that the preferred method of turning off a persistent message might be done by editing line 191 in wp-dbmanager.php

    Take a moment to use the verification procedure outlined in that same paragraph before turning off the message – just to be sure the directory really isn’t accessible to the public.

    I also have this issue and has been like this since a recent update not long ago. All the “fixes” do not work. I have a bunch of sites and can’t do a manual fix to all of them.

    Those two statements beg for a little clarification; Which one is is it? You tried the manual fix and it really doesn’t work in your case? Or it does, and you don’t want to employ that solution on all of your sites?

    ..Also, you hijacked Kelltech’s topic. His/her issue appeared after migrating to a different server. Yours, after an update. Perhaps starting a new topic of your own would put fresh eyes on your concern. Be sure to tag it with WP-DBManager so the plugin developer can identify it as a new topic.

    My apologies for the hi-jack. I will start another post.

    I did look at that in the FAQ and verified that the url brings up a page not found error. I believe that means I’m good, so I edited the php, plugin error message gone. Thank you!

    /home/username/public_html/wp-content/backup-db just need to adda slash at the end ‘cose the destination of .htaccess file is /home/atozsupe/public_html/wp-content/backup-db/ thatput a slash after backup-db/ and the big problem is resolved that: /home/atozsupe/public_html/wp-content/backup-db is the destination of your backup folder. and it’s right you will find it there but WP DB-Manager can’t see there your .htaccess file when you put slash WP DB-Manager look for the file inside of “backup-db” folder really simple
