    Hello, I recieve this the following error. Even though I enter my admin email to unlock, there’s any email to my inbox. I also login to cPanel to rename the wordfence folder. And I the error’s gone. I login to WordPress to activate the plugin again and the same problem comes. I’ve updated wordpress to the latest version.

    I follow your document here https://www.wordfence.com/help/blocking/troubleshooting/#if-you-locked-yourself-out and now it works.

    But why I don’t receive an email to unlock.

    Hi @topsan123,

    Can you follow these steps to restore your website?

    1. Rename the wordfence folder
    2. Go into the database and execute DELETE FROM wp_wfblocks7;
    3. Reactivate wordfence

    Now you should not be locked out, and you can tweak the settings for the rate limiting for 404 pages.

    1. Go to Wordfence -> All Options -> Rate Limiting
    2. Change the settings for If a crawler's pages not found (404s) exceed
    3. Save Changes in the top right corner
