You must enter a valid recipient error

Hello,
I am creating a URL based on the users email address I want to target so the URL is as follows.
https://www.bankroll.ventures/inbox/?fepaction=newmessage&[email protected]
the email above is a registered account but it seems to give me this error when I attempt to send a message
“Error: You must enter a valid recipient!”
Any ideas would be great. I have been testing new ways of doing this etc and always seem to hit this error for some reason.
