When I test a plugin and really like it and would like to Favorite it I have to stop what I’m doing and go to WPorg and do so – it would be so great if there was a way to do that right from my own Admin, like if there was a feature in WP Favs to add it to my Favorites in WP Favs right from my own backend. Like “Add to Favorites” right there in WP Favs.

You think that’s possible, since you’re already accessing WP.org Favs with our username…?

I’ve searched and searched WP Plugins for just such a thing, but there’s NOTHING. AND the new repository is a huge step back in my opinion, and others, I’ve noticed. Their search function is pathetic. Misses loads of plugins that I find later on should have been included in the results. #verydisappointed

  • Hi @rglennnall, Im planning to add a export installed or active plugins from the site to a new wp fav list.
    Is that what you mean?

yep, close enough. I had in mind a little heart in WPFavs plugin just like in WP.org that would send the plugin straight to either WPFavs and/or WP.org favs, but you know better than I would how difficult either would be.

Exporting a selected list which could then be imported into WPFavs.com would still be pretty nice.

There’s another plugin like this that has its own website repository, but they want $ after like 5 plugins are stored, or something. I imagine you’ll end up developing this to the point where you would need to charge something, and that’s totally understandable.

Yeah, I do have a lot of plugins – many of them are either being tested or have been so and are pending deletion. I think I’m actually using about 50 Active ones. I kinda get off on troubleshooting conflicts – but it doesn’t happen as often as you’d think…
