• Why on earth would they set this plugin up to be used with a 1-star wordpress feature, Guttenberg, so highly disliked by wordpress users? It makes it very tedious and time consuming to use, and also not user friendly at all.

    Hi there, @kismett,

From what I understood from your feedback, it seems like you’re not happy about Sensei switching completely from the Classic Editor to the Block Editor. Is that correct?

We’re happy to discuss this further and figure something out that can help you have a great experience with Sensei.

    Look forward to your reply!

Just upgraded from 4.10 to the latest.

Before I say the next few sentences I have used Sensei since 2013, been very happy with it (I purchased the original WOO based sensei). I have made a lot of child theme based use of Sensei and when I could not do this I made some SMALL modifications to the Sensei code – and made those changes everytime I upgraded Sensei – I was fine with that.

I also (as Sensei did not supply it) my own code , Woocommerce and Wishlist to have a subscription model.

It all worked really, really great.

Until you made the two worst moves ever:
    – Gutenberg and nothing but Gutenberg
    – changed the email template mechanics in 4.12

Until then Sensei was really great. I could, in the child theme, make some changes to the email thingos and other stuff. I had many of my own extra email ‘templates’ based on your code.

    It all worked beautifully.

Not anymore. For the last days I am trying to figure out how I can integrate my email stuff (that was working until 4.10 and possibly 4.11) and this bugger of an ^%*&^%^ editor (I used Astra and Elementor), and for Sensei
I used mostly the classic editor.

None of my template modifications came across. No mentioning of the changes you made.

Also I know you need the upsell, all good, but it’s becoming overwhelming and everywhere.

    Hello @jobst

Thank you for expanding on your feedback.

I’m afraid I don’t have a solution or better news regarding your first feedback: Gutenberg. As mentioned in our support document, some new features are not supported in the Classic Editor.?However, it is still compatible with older versions of Sensei (even though we do not recommend keeping an old version of the plugin).?

Regarding your second feedback: changed the email template mechanics in 4.12. We would like to hear more about this. Please open a new forum thread here and share as much as you can about this issue. We will do our best to support you.

    Best,
    Alba
