In my Woocommerce I get this message:

You have over 8 MegaBytes of objects/transients in your WordPress options database table.
Please install the plugin Transient Cleaner (plugin link) and make use of W3TotalCache (plugin link) object caching to regain object caching and site speed

When I look at the Transient Cleaner I see that it doesn’t support my version of Woocommerce.
    I have Woocommerce 8.
So i’m not sure if I can use this without problems or it is really not working on my Woocommerce.

    My webshop is https://www.model-kits.nl
    Hope someone can help/explain me.

My plugin doesn’t look at Woo version. Do you mean the WordPress version?

    (@0108daniel)

    Ah yes you’re right.
    I have WordPress version 6.4.3
I read your plugin is compatible to: 5.8.9

    Plugin Author David Artiss

    (@dartiss)

Yeah, so, after 5.8.9 the transient cleaning is built into WordPress, so my plugin shouldn’t be needed.

I am actually working on a version that will work for all releases and will allow you to see if it has worked and, if not, perform a manual run yourself – but that’s not ready for use yet.

Was it a specific Woo plugin that generated this message, as I’m curious about the source?

I can not find it in WordPress itself.
Or else it will be automatacly fixed without that message.

i get this message from my webhost ManagedWP.
    It wasn’t a plugin.

No, it’s automatic. Every day it runs. HOWEVER, this is only to remove transients that have genuinely expired. I suspect your issue is that they’ve not actually expired but something is just generating a lot of transient content.

I’m going to push out a new version of the plugin, within the next few minutes, that you should be able to install and use. From Tools -> Transient Cleaner there’s an option to remove ALL transients, which is what I believe you need.

Thank you, I will try that then.
Please let me know when your update is live.

    (@dartiss)

    It should be live now!

    Thread Starter 0108daniel

    (@0108daniel)

    I tried it.
I get only this ‘There are currently 3464 transients (6908 records) in the database. 16 transients have expired.’

So I don’t know if this is really helpfull.
    But who knows ??

    Plugin Author David Artiss

    (@dartiss)

What your host is pushing you to do is to clear down those 3464 transients.

Under “Remove all Transients” tick “Clean now” and then click on “Save Changes”. This will clear them all down.

Thank you for the help with it.
After I clean it I get a critical error.

Well, that’s embarrassing. Yeah, that’s a minor bug in my code. Let me fix that and push out another update…

Version 1.6.2 has been released to fix this.

Tried it, now I didn’t get the message ??

That’s great. If clearing those out doesn’t resolve your issue, you’ll need to go back to whoever advised it.
