I see some people talking about pro below. But I can’t find it. This is a good plugin.

Anyway, after installing it, I noticed in Google Chrome console that admin-ajax is loaded up to proconnect to sites designated in the plugin after a page completely loads. But after a while (or maybe after I disabled Redis object caching briefly), I don’t see it any more. How can I check the plugin is still working normally?

I also have some suggestions for prefetch functions. It’s a great part of the plugin. I’m switching to this after using Flying Pages.

But I’d like to suggest adding an option that makes prefecthing still occur if the mouse cursover is over a link even if that link contains a word in the list of words excluded from being prefetched. I want people to still enjoy that mouse-over function even though I don’t want certain links to be preloaded.

    Thanks so much!

I see the admin-ajax call issue was due to my misunderstanding of how this works. But I would still like to know how to check if the plugin is functioning and see those suggestions met! Thank you Sam

If you have the “auto preconnect” option set, there will be a JS script that collects all external domain names, and sends that via the admin-ajax call to the db table. Those domain names will be turned into preconnect hints, and future page loads will deliver these hints.

As I said in the kind review you gave, sadly I cannot justify the enormous amount of time I am required to maintain the pro plugin anymore.

I am glad you enjoy this plugin!
