You entered an invalid username or password.

i just tried registering, & received the email:

Thank you for registering for Train 24. 
Your registration has been received and is pending approval.
You will receive login instructions upon approval of your account

when u approve, i will then try to log in…

got approval, login failed both username & email, reset passwd, emailed passwd also failed:-(

Based on what @airdrummer posted above, it looks like you’ve got moderated registration turned on, but you’ve got some settings that are not correct.

You have your registration set to allow users to create a password at registration. However, you have not set the initial email to send that information (although the user should already know it so sending is optional). Please see the heading “User Defined Password” on the following documentation page:

I have removed the option for the user to create there own password. Ive tested again but i still get the error message ‘You entered an invalid username or password.’

Ive figured it out. I deactivated all in one security plugin and it now works ??
I had an option selected within the all in one security plugin to manually approve users in there too.
