• Hello, I installed WP on my dreamhost account a couple of months ago, but have only just started to use it. I wanted to set up google analytics for the site so I thought I’d go looking for a plugin. However, when I click on the ” I get the following error message:

You do not have sufficient permissions to install plugins on this site.

I’m logged in as admin, there are no other accounts on the system. I’m new to WP so apologies if there is an obvious answer to this, but I’ve looked around and I can’t find a solution. Any help is gratefully received, thanks,

    Ric

  • Hello Ric,

Did you ever get this resolved..if so, how? I am looking at Dreamhost to host a WP site.
    Cheers,

Hi Dave, I figured it out in the end. I had used Dreamhost’s one click install for wordpress, but what I hadn’t realised is that it set up a restricted version that you couldn’t modify. I’ve since reinstalled using dreamhost’s advanced options on the one click install, and its working great now.
