• I’ve been trying to set up my blogs so three separate installations can share one user table. Tonight I tested out the method outlined here:

I tried it on one of the installations. Afterwards, when I tried to change something in that blog’s admin area, it sent me to a page that said “Cheatin’, huh?” and now keeps telling me I do not have sufficient permissions to access the area, even though I replaced the files I edited per the above method with the original files.

I did a search and found someone with a similar problem here:

The differences are that I wasn’t installing bbpress, and now even though I can’t access the admin area the page still seems to work. But I REALLY need to access the admin area!!!

    Please please please, someone help!

So I still really need help with this. I went through every suggested fix… I restored the database, I re-uploaded the original version of the edited files, I went into the usermeta table and checked the settings (they were all fine)… I’ve done just about everything that’s been recommended and everything I can think of and there is still no change. I’m considering uninstalling and then reinstalling, but what good would that do? I’d be installing the same files I’ve already re-uploaded, and using the same database I used to restore…

    Help help help.

    I have the same problem!
