You can’t preview or update or save with WPBakery Page Builder

if you edit then the preview/save/update buttons don’t respond.
or it returns gibberish
but sometimes it does save

We understand there is an issue with Visual Composer and Yoast. We would like some more information.

1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO v5.7.1??You can learn more about updating here: How can I update my (premium) plugin?. If you update, does the issue resolve?

2. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 4.8.3? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

3. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Visual Composer as shown here: https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VC/pages/524348/Release+Notes?

If all are updated, can you elaborate more on what you mean when you say ” generate crap”? Are you able to take screenshots of the issue? If you are not sure how to share a screenshot in the forum you can use a tool like pasteboard.co to upload the image and then copy/paste the url.

Yes to all above. The preview button didn’t respond. The save if it does give a page of raw short code and text.

Only these 2 plugins activated. After updating even reverting to old yoast didn’t fix it anymore. Only disabling out worked.

Well that’s a lot of work.
Why do I need to learn to write a bug and all that other stuff? If I take my car to a mechanic I don’t need to learn to write a report for them.

We understand the concern. Please know we are not able to reproduce the issue on our development sites. So we are not able to report the issue. As we are not able to report the issue we ask that you please contact our developers by making a post in GitHub. The GitHub repository is monitored by our developers.

We understand it requires some work but we use GitHub to track issues and if the issue happens when everything is updated and Yoast and Visual Composer are the only plugins active we expect it be an issue of some kind.
