    Hi there,

I’m trying to work out why I cannot allow customers to add multiple of the same product to their basket.

I use the Storefront theme and so far so good.

I have searched high and low for a setting to allow this but there does not seem to be one.

    Can you help?

    Thanks,

    Rob.

I’ve had a look at your cart and see what you mean about the missing quantity editing: https://d.pr/i/vVKMN5

The ability to edit quantity can be limited manually or through a plugin. Can you please double-check that your products have not been limited as discussed here?

    https://www.tychesoftwares.com/how-to-set-minimum-and-maximum-allowable-product-quantities-to-be-added-in-woocommerce-cart/

If that’s not the case, this kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. You’re already using Storefront, so that’s unlikely to be the issue, unless you’ve customized the theme.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. If you are using a customized version of Storefront, please be sure to also check with a default version. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

I haven’t customised Storefront at all. I have only added plugins from WooCommerce other than a few odd ones that are nothing to do with product settings that I can see.

I notice that I do not have the same options that you indicate in the image you shared.

That has led to a bit of digging and I can see that I have lots of products that are set in Inventory as “Sold Separately”. I don’t remember setting this and it should be removed across the site so I will have to work out how to do that.

I imported all products from a supplier’s data so I wonder if during my import I inadvertently clicked to set this for a lot of products.

I have unset it and the products can have more than one added so this is the issue.

Many thanks for replying but now I need a way to unset it across the whole product set… any ideas?

    Hi there,

The “Sold Individually” setting would indeed account for that – nice find ??

In terms of bulk updating that, you could try the bulk-editing setting:

Perfect thank you man. That was so obvious I’d forgotten you could set it there.
