    Hello everyone,

We have just released version 1.4 of Super Progressive Web Apps! In this release, along with a few enhancements, we have included two feature requests from our dear users.

@doofustoo brought up a valid point where some PWA’s would need the capability to be seen in landscape mode. Now you will see a setting for Orientation in the settings of SuperPWA.

Orientation can be Portrait, Landscape or can be set to Follow Device Orientation. When set to the latter, your PWA will rotate as the user rotates the device.

Another request was from @krunalsm for options to set the theme_color property in manifest. Until this release, theme_color was same as background_color. But now you can set them individually as needed.

Theme color is used on supported devices to tint the UI elements of the browser and app switcher. When in doubt, use the same color as Background Color.

We have also made few enhancements to the code that will make your PWA even better. We hope to have perfect compatibility with all major AMP plugins with this release.

    Here is the changelog:

    * New Feature: Added UI for default orientation of your PWA. Orientation can now be set as “any”, “portrait” or “landscape”.
    * New Feature: Added UI for theme_color property in manifest.
    * Enhancement: Improved compatibility with all major Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) plugins.
    * Enhancement: Improved handling of external resources.

Thanks once again for all the love you have given us. We look forward to hearing your feedback and hope to continue to bring the best of Progressive Web Apps to WordPress for your enjoyment.

    Best regards.
Jose and Arun of Team SuperPWA
