Installed the Blubrry Powerpress plugin to my new WP site and when trying to access the plugin settings, I get a page displaying a “you are not authorized to view this page” message. The user I am using is the original admin used to create the site. I’ve even created a new admin and get the same error.

What’s funny is I have this plugin in another site and do not have any issues.

    Hi Dadto2,

Sometimes, logging out and clearing your cache and cookies can help this. Also try another browser.

If none of those work, can you contact us directly? [email protected] and we can setup a Zoom session to help troubleshoot this issue.

    Hi Mike,
Did that and more, using Chrome (with a hard reload and cache empty using the dev tools), Safari, IE and Edge. (I don’t use FF.)

I’ve been developing for 20 years on the Microsoft stack so I’m not a hobbiest when it comes to these things and this has stumped and frustrated me. I’ve even gone into the code behind to see if there’s something out of the ordinary but I don’t see it there (and to be honest, wasn’t expecting to, but I have to look.).

Does support do Zoom sessions on Sundays? I’m the Director of IT for a restaurant holding group and my time during the week is limited until after 6PM CST during the work week.

    Hello Eric,

You will be meeting with me on Zoom today, if we can get it scheduled soon.

Do you have WP_DEBUG define set to true on your installation, and if so, does it provide any insights?

    Thanks,
    Angelo

@amandato Don’t offer anyone anything here again please. You know what I am referring to and that’s not appropriate for these community volunteer support forums.

After a Zoom meeting with the Blubrry team, my issue is fixed and this was discovered to be a bug. Changing my rating to five stars.

Thanks all for helping to fix this issue. I appreciate it!

    Yes, Thanks Eric!

We found a bug so we will have that fixed soon.

The workaround is to go into the settings by hitting the Getting Started link under PowerPress in the sidebar. Then you can either go through the wizard or skip (lower right) to go directly to the main settings.

We will have a hot-fix for this sometime next week.

@benzoid Thanks for the great support but please lose the signature. That’s prohibited in these forums as it’s been horribly abused in the past by others.

Yes, bad people ruin it for others. No, I am not kidding. Please refrain from that.
