    Hi

I did a forum search & see other people had this problem in wordpress 1.5, but the fixes for it don’t seem to be found or no longer apply…

I have just installed wordpress 2.1 on a virtual server on my machine, using IIS, as a client has requested I set it up on his site & I obviously need to familiarise myself with it first.

The problem is that when I click on view site or view posts, I get the error “You are not authorized to view this page”

Please someone help me, the client is on my back & I need to get this sorted out ASAP!

    Thanks

I noticed my question has popped up every few months and all are unanswered, so I thought it best to go do some research elsewhere, and here’s what fixed my problem…

1.) Go to “start menu > settings > control panel > administrative tools > internet information services”

2.) click on “Web Sites > Default Website” on the left side

3.) click on “action > properties” from above drop down

4.) click on the “documents” tab

5.) click on “add” and type “index.php”

    6.) click OK

7.) I restarted my machine after this to be on the safe side, but that may not be necessary.

Gee Roxane, thanks for the help!
    Hey,it’s a pleasure Roxane, anytime…!
