Hi,

I initially installed this plugin some months ago but eventually deactivated it due to some limitations. Now I re-activated it but can’t access the settings page. Instead I get a message that I am not authorised to access the page. I have tried the following:

Uninstall/re-install the plugin
Regenerate .htaccess from the Permalinks page
Visited wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page and basically disconnected and re-connected everything
Uninstalled and re-installed Jetpack (and disconnected/re-connected)

Hi there @norrniklas ??

It seems there’s an issue accessing the connected account. Can you try creating an account during the setup or connecting a different account?

Here’s what I recommend:

* Visit again the page at: https://www.norrmark.se/wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page
* Disconnect all existing connections by clicking: Disconnect Jetpack, Disconnect Google Account, and MC Disconnect.

Set up the connection afresh from Marketing > Google Listings & Ads and see if that helps.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried that but fail on the last step since I can’t even access the Google Listings and Ads page (regardless of if I navigate to it from Marketing -> Google Listings and Ads or via the plugins page).

Tried disconnecting everything anyway but fail on the first step:

So I disconnected by My Jetpack instead. When going back to the Google Listings and Ads test page that you linked to, all the options for Google are gone, only the Jetpack options are visible. And I still can’t access Marketing -> Google Listings and Ads.

Hi @norrniklas

It sounds like you’ve tried a lot of the common troubleshooting steps already. This error message usually appears due to a permissions issue, so I would recommend checking the user role that you’re logged in with. Make sure it’s an Administrator role, as lower-level roles may not have the necessary permissions to access the settings page of this plugin.

If you are indeed logged in as an Administrator and still experiencing this issue, it’s possible there might be a conflict with another plugin or your theme. Try temporarily deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme like Storefront to see if the issue persists.

If none of the above works, please get back to us with your site’s fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
