You are not allowed to upload files of this type

  • Hi,

    I’m using contact form 7 and when I try to upload files in Chrome it says “you are not allowed to upload files of this type.”

    I’ve checked the allowed file types and I’ve given permission for.docx files to be uploaded.

    It works in Mozilla, but the ‘file upload icon’ doesn’t display properly, and works in Opera perfectly with perfect display and functionality.

    Why are Chrome and Firefox not working and is there a fix? I want users to be able to have the same experience which ever browser they’re using.
