"You are not allowed to manage these items." after update to WordPress 4.4

On a few I use a recipe plugin with ‘tags’ for ingredients. But now I can’t edit these tags anymore.

Oh sorry Tara. It’s Recipress (not supported anymore) downloaded within the WordPress system.

Works fine with version WP version 4.3

–> /wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=ingredient error
–> /wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=post_tag OK
so normal tags edit is no problem…

Do you know this plugin (1) has not been updated for over 2 years (2) and it is Compatible up to: 3.4.2

And still expect it work with your 4.4!!!!

Yes I do. But It’s still working without problems till version 4.3.
Nothing changed in the plugin.

Years of work that hundreds recipes, so switch to an other plugin …. *oh my no* ??

Obviously the developer of your plugin has abandoned it and is not maintaining it.

I’ve found a solution!

In recipress/php/taxonomies.php change line 28 (ingredients), line 59 (cuisines), line 90 (courses) and 121 (skill levels).

‘show_ui’ => false into ‘show_ui’ => true

Anna or Tara, I have the same issue; but not sure that I understand the fix? Can you point me to specifically where I would make the updates? or where I find the file: recipress/php/taxonomies.php ? Thanks for any tips ??
