    It’s not really a big issue because if you end up on that page, the game is over anyway. There is no link back to were you came from.
    wp_die is an uggly way to handle the error case.

    While you are in there, go down to line 313 and change what is supposed to be a closing head tag from

    <head>

    to

    </head>
