“You are already following” notice

    Thanks for the amazing plugin. I really appreciate your work.

    I’m experiencing a minor but highly-visible issue: whenever someone clicks “Follow”, a notice appears that says “You are already following [Firstname Lastname]”.

    This doesn’t happen on my staging site, but does happen on my live site, so there’s obviously a difference. For example, the live site is on HTTPS and the staging isn’t.

    I’m hoping you can give me a bit of insight so I know where to start looking for the cause.

    I’m guessing this is a problem with your theme.

    Can you try duplicating your issue on a WordPress Twenty* theme?

    Hi r-a-y, thanks for the reply. Your posts have helped with a number of projects in the past.

    After more experimentation, I suspect you’re right about the theme. Unfortunately the issue is intermittent, so testing is difficult.

    I was hoping someone might have seen the behaviour before and could share some insight.
    I’ll have to follow up with more concrete data if I can.
