I am a complete newbie when it comes to WordPress and web-sight design. I installed the plugin and created a Guest Book page. I then tried to leave a comment as a user and I got the message:
    —————
You appear to be a spambot. Contact admin another way if you feel this message is in error

The cache may have been out of date. Use this link to view a fresh version Guest Book

It seems to be related to the Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin. Do you know how to exclude your plugin from the spambot plugin or can you tell me a means to add spambot protection to your plugins page? Like a Captcha or something?

Thanks, sorry for the noobie assistance questions!

I use Anti-spam. This is really simple, works perfectly and also works with comment guestbook.

HI, I took the suggestion about the Anti-spam and installed it on my website. It works great, I am just wondering, should I have the Captcha taken off in other places? Because I am thinking, if the Anti-spam works then do I really need the Capthcha? I am just using it on forms. Thanks!

On my website I do not have any captcha anymore since installing the Anti-spam plugin. I haven’t got any spam entry since then.
