    Hello,

I am using a the7theme https://the7.io which I bought at theme forest.com My theme is up to date, and all plugins also. Enabled plugins: The7 WPBakery Page Builder; The7 Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder; The7 Slider Revolution; The7 Elements and Yoast SEO. When I open YOASTSEO and click configure Im gettin an error “The configuration wizard could not be started. The likely cause is an interfering plugin. Please check for plugin conflicts (Otworzy si? w nowej zak?adce) to solve this problem”. I am aware to turn off all the plugins because it might cause my website crash. Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem?

  • Hi @pmiecz,

    Thank you for reaching out.

When this happens, this is most likely caused by a Javascript error with another plugin/theme on your site and therefore we ask you to find out which plugin is causing it. We know that disabling plugins is not something you want to do on a live site.

Can you please check if you can find any Javascript errors on the configuration page that doesn’t load? You can find more information how to check for those errors here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/.

Apart from that, you can also do a conflict check using the Health Check plugin troubleshooting mode, this disables all plugins and switches back to a default theme if there is one installed. This is only visible to you and other users or site visitors are not affected by this. Doing so, you can then enable Yoast SEO and check if the Configuration Wizard can load. If it does, you can then switch back to your theme and check again. If it still works, then you can enable 1 plugin at a time to check when the issue reappears.
