We have been using yoast fro 3 years successfully.

However suddenly this morning “<yoastmark text started appearing under the alt input text area under the image detail. When we disable the plugin the issue is solved.

This issue started after the latest update of Yoast.

I did not find any solution regarding to this.

@fohteh We weren’t able to replicate this issue, but can you please provide a screenshot of it, if possible? Alternately can you please provide the steps to reproduce what is occurring? Is the ‘<yoastmark’ text occurring in the ATTACHMENT DETAILS section modal window?

    Hello @devnihil

Thank you for your prompt reply.

We have been using TagDiv newspaper theme + WPML

    The steps to produce issue…

1- Create a new post with default language with post conten images, fixing all green lights for Yoast SEO Check

2- Publish the default language post

3- Click the WPML translation button and move to clean page where we create translation of the post

4- Enter the english text and post content images. Fill up Alt text and alternative text areas.

    5- Enter focus keywords

6 – Click the eye mark button which indicates the keywords density.

    right after that..

7- Alt text and alternative text areas of the post content images erased and “<yoastmark text appears in the alternative text area.

Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

Hi, same for me tonight, got the “<yoastmark issue on images alt text.
This happened after updating an article.
I can’t update the images alt text anymore, it always displays “<yoastmark.
    I don’t have Yoast premium.

Maybe it happened after I udpated the meta description of one of my articles. I didn’t get the error before that.

    Hi,

I had the same problem. The only thing that helps is clearing the picture. The text also contains a malicious code, which must also be deleted. It mainly affects images that have been uploaded with a date or marked with a numbering like this e1437406143331.jpg. Who carried out this marking, I do not know but it looks like Yoast Seo also.
