Hi

I have read various support threads on this topic but still can’t get Yoast to see my content on the pages so I therefore get bad Yoast scores.

I have illdy theme and all of my content is placed via the customization tool on illdy, however this is not taken into account when I am trying to set up my seo settings.

My site is currently a stage site and is not yet live.

In the Analysis section of my homepage for example – I get a Bad SEO score for the following –

The text contains 0 words. This is far below the recommended minimum of 300 words. Add more content that is relevant for the topic.

The focus keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy. Make sure the topic is clear immediately.

Can you advise how to make Yoast see the content that is within my theme please?

I have since worked out that this is because yoast does not recognise some content in other themes, widgets etc.
So my next question, is how does this then effect my site from being crawled by google? I have seen that on some forums people have said that google can still crawl the site, but will it still be effective? Especially as I am designing a website for a big company, so how will this effect it?

@natashaseamless If your content is built in a page builder and Yoast is not able to recognize the content, this won’t affect Google being able to crawl the site or read the information on the pages.

Thanks for your reply, that’s a relief.
Could you recommend to me how many of my pages on my website I should be setting up SEO for? For example I have read that setting SEO up on contact page is unnecessary.

I am designing a website for an interior design company specializing in events, and have multiple pages of galleries, for ‘projects’ ‘interiors’ ‘exteriors’ etc.
