We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble. We totally understand how that could be frustrating for you! Let’s get down to the bottom of what’s going on here.

We looked at your site’s front page and were able to reproduce the issue on our end. If you have recently updated the page title, description, and images, you’ll need to manually request Google to re-crawl the relevant pages on your site. Once Google re-crawl the relevant pages, the updated data should appear in the search results.

    Hey @mazedulislamkhan
    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, the changes were made on my end before google crawled my site

    Hi,

Can you confirm if you use Inspect any URL that the issue is resolved? This will force Google to update the index. You may need to use it several times. This guide explains more:?https://kb.yoast.com/kb/fetch-as-googlebot/.

    Hi @pcosta88
I tried everything in the link you sent.

On Google search console, do i need to have 2 properties?

    At the moment I have:
    1. Domain property
    2. https://www.domain…
    3. https://domain…

maybe this is causing the issues?

    Hi,

No having those properties is not expected to cause the issue. We can see Yoast is outputting the right data including title and meta descriptions. See image: https://pasteboard.co/Jhu2yW1.png

If Google is not showing the right data then you may need to improve it. We say this as Google will ignore titles and metas. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/google-shows-different-titles-for-my-site/#ignored

    Hey @pcosta88

I followed the link you sent…
When I check the cache:domain (from the Google cache is outdated paragraph) I get this error:
    “404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /search?ei=vXQNX-3bG5DTkwXLs4K4BQ&q=cache%3Ayaelis.co&oq=cache%3Ayaelis.co&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQA1DBxBRYyNUUYNfbFGgAcAB4AIABlAGIAf8CkgEDMC4zmAEAoAECoAEBqgEHZ3dzLXdpeg&sclient=psy-ab&ved=0ahUKEwitrr-UsczqAhWQ6aQKHcuZAFcQ4dUDCAw&uact=5 was not found on this server. That’s all we know.”

    Or:
    “404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /search?q=cache%3Ayaelis.co&oq=cache%3Ayaelis.co&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.4663j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 was not found on this server. That’s all we know.”

Do you know what may cause this?

    Hi @dodoc,

We checked your homepage URL with the cache: option and that did not result in a 404, we saw your homepage.

    Thread Starter dodoc

    (@dodoc)

    What are you doing?
    I’m doing this: “cache:yaelis.co”
and trying all sort of changes, with\without http… with\without www

    and getting:
    404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /search?q=cache%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fyaelis.co&oq=cache%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fyaelis.co&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.10975j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 was not found on this server. That’s all we know.

Anyways, according to what you sent it says: “It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on 5 Jul 2020 15:14:37 GMT” – Does this mean the site wasn’t crawled since 5 Jul ? I’ve tried indexing it on Google search console a few times and doing the live test….

    Hi @dodoc,

We were doing cache:https://www.yaelis.co in the browser and are redirected to the cache version linked earlier.

@dodoc Yes, that is correct. Also we checked the page content in the cache using the ‘View Source‘ option and see the title and meta description are as follows:

    <title>???? | ????'? - ??????? ?????</title><meta name="description" content="NAMASTE ????? ???? ??????? ????'? ???? ??? ??????? ??????? ????? ???? ?? ??? ??? ????? ???? ?? ????? ??????? ????'? ??? ??????? ?????? ???? ???? ????," />

Whereas the values on your live home page are:

    <title>????'? - ??????? ????? | ???? ??? ???????? ???? ??</title><meta name="description" content="NAMASTE - ????? ???? ? ?????? ????'?, ???? ??? ??????? ??????? ????? ??????? ????? ?? ??? ???? ???? ?? ! ?? ?????? ????? ???? ??? ?????? ???? ????? !" />

@devnihil So what should I do? should I contact Google in any way?

I want this to show up on google:

“Whereas the values on your live home page are:

    <title>????’? – ??????? ????? | ???? ??? ???????? ???? ??</title><meta name=”description” content=”NAMASTE – ????? ???? ? ?????? ????’?, ???? ??? ??????? ??????? ????? ??????? ????? ?? ??? ???? ???? ?? ! ?? ?????? ????? ???? ??? ?????? ???? ????? !” />”

    Hi @dodoc,

    Thank you for your reply.

We know that you want to get a specific title in the search results, but please know that even setting a specific title for a page, does never guarantee that Google will be using this exact title for any search term your (home)page can be found for. As previously mentioned, you can read about this here: https://yoast.com/help/my-seo-title-isnt-displayed-as-i-have-entered-it/. However, having said this, you can always open a forum topic on the Google Webmaster Forums here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/community?hl=en.

    Thanks

why am I seeing this on the google search console : https://prntscr.com/tj2kq1

    Got any idea?

    Hi @dodoc,

Google mentions that the page isn’t indexed because of a redirect. The URL you inspected is HTTP and it redirects to the HTTPS version, which is the only version that should be indexed.

Since this is what we expect to see, this is not an error and nothing to worry about.

To solve this problem, you may need to add the HTTPS version of your domain in the Google Search Console so that you see the crawl errors only for the HTTPS version of your domain.

You can find a tutorial in this guide: How to use Google Search Console: a beginner’s guide
