    Hi guys

I have installed Yoast SEO on my Divi-themed website. My first blog post has been created and I am filling out the data to ensure my snippet reads well in google. However, the preview of the snippet is blank for some reason. I can my favicon and the featured image but the Title and Meta Description are blank even though I have typed in the information

I read a previous topic on this and I couldn’t detect a resolution.

I’ll keep moving forward with entering data Yoast since I believe it will be there, I just can’t see it for some reason. Would love to know your thoughts.

I have installed the latest version of WordPress 5.8.1

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @logozuu

When you say that the Yoast SEO meta box snippet preview is blank, do you mean to say it’s partially loaded? Would it be possible for you to upload a screenshot on snipboard.io or another similar service and share with us a link as to what you are seeing from your end so we can understand the issue better?

You may also want to refer to this article, as it could potentially be a conflict with another plugin or your chosen theme – https://yoast.com/help/yoastseo-meta-box-is-blank/

    Hi @logozuu

Just to clarify, based on the screenshot, it looks like the Yoast SEO meta box is loading as expected, but that’s the actual look of the Google preview? As if it’s blank, right?

Can you open your browser’s console when editing that post or page where that issue occurs and check if you see any JavaScript errors? You can refer here – https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

If you do see any JS errors, often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

    Hi,

Thanks for your response. Yes, please do check for any JavaScript errors that might appear in your browser’s console, and perform the conflict check, and please do let us know.

We suspect there is a plugin or theme conflict here if the Google preview section isn’t loading as expected, as per your screenshot.

    Hi Michael

I deactivated all of the plugins on my localhost and the snippet preview appeared. Switched them all back on one by one to see which one was the culprit however the preview now works with all of the previously activated plugins switched on.

So perhaps it was just a gremlin in the system that needed everything switched off and on I had a similar issue with North checkout and Engagebay. Switched everything off and on again and it was all fine.

So that will now be my first port of call; a bit like checking if the power cord is plugged in to resolve computer issues.

    thanks for your help
    Bren
